Still Lifes
Still Lifes explores the uncertain boundary between the living and the inanimate. Through dioramas of frozen animals, the series cultivates a deliberate ambiguity: what we observe appears at once real and artificial. These scenes, inherited from a museum tradition that transformed nature into spectacle, question the ways in which civilizations shape and stage the living. By allowing doubt to linger, the work invites reflection on what is presented to us, and on the distance that separates life from its re-creation.
